Hello. My name is Helen. I am trying desperately to help a young woman , Matilda, who has come into our lives.

After a very difficult upbringing in Sweden, she fought to fulfill her dream to come to the UK to attend a prestigious arts University. She had nothing, no family support, just her little dog.

We have taken them into our hearts. Matilda is a supremely talented animation artist and is trying so hard to build her life. They are also autistic, and battles every day also with adhd, chronic fatigue and depression. Matilda also battles with financial difficulties. The student loan covers her fees, a bit of rent and food, but they barely survive on it. They have no home to go back to if this doesn't work out. A student visa won't allow them to work. I send her what I can, food money...for simple toiletries, etc. They have a huge deficit to keep themselves over the summer, rent and fees have risen so much they may have to give up.

This wonderful brave person deserves to achieve a decent life after the horrendous experience of her childhood and teenage years. We will continue to look after her little baby dog, and do what we can, but Matilda needs your help. Thank you so much for reading this, and thanks for giving a young person a decent chance.
