Matias Medical Journey

Hello Inspired Movement Family!


Austin Inspired Movement is sponsoring a fundraiser for our dear friend and beloved instructor Catalina Ferrada and her son Matias.

Catalina adopted Matias, previously her younger brother, when he was first born after their mother passed away during birth. Matias is a joyful, loving boy who has cerebral palsy and suffers with spastic activity within his legs which disables him from walking.

One of his great wishes is to be able to dance with his Mimi (Catalina)! <3

After attempting and exploring many options over the course of Matias’ life, they have now come to a last hope medical intervention. Matias will undergo a major neurosurgery at Dell Children’s this upcoming month. Post surgery, Catalina and Matias will spend approximately 2 months at the hospital going through rehabilitation and teaching Matias to sit, walk, stand, and more.

We invite you to join us in supporting both Catalina and Matias during this time through financial gift, prayers, and keeping them in your hearts. Catalina will have to be out of work during this time or only when she is able to. Therefore, every offering is greatly appreciated.
