Matt's premature departure from this life does not diminish his legacy. He lived life to the fullest and accomplished so much with the time he had. Matt is loved by so many. Those who knew him even a little bit can attest to the richness of his presence. His spirit is contagious and will continue to live on through everyone he has touched.

Those who knew Matt well can attest to his borderline obsession to eventually bring a child into this world. Neva and Matt's family agreed it should be announced that one of Matt's final realizations was that he would be successful in this goal when he and Neva found out that she is pregnant.
