Mather Debt Relief
Donation protected
Hey friends,
After recently posting about the hardships we have faced in our 6 1/2 years of marriage (with lots of good things too), a few friends have encouraged us to do another GoFundMe. We did one last year to help offset IVF costs, which helped give us Parker. Thank you!
The post is pinned to the top of my Facebook page if you want to read it: https://www.facebook.com/ashley.mather2
While we have quite a bit of debt from all of the stuff listed in my original post, it would be incredible to get out of the clutches of Sallie Mae. We went back and looked at all of our original statements, and I was slightly off with some of my figures, but it's still not great.
We were originally approved for $13,138, but we only received $11,293.76 (that's $1,844.24 in fees and interest before we even received the disbursed funds). I currently owe $12,177.98. I have paid $6,654 over 50 months. At the rate we are able to pay, it will take us 12 more years to pay off this loan. We will then have paid $25,817.52, more than double the amount we received.
Any help would be much appreciated. Once Taylor and I are more financially stable, we hope to give back to others in ways that other folks have given to us.
Because I feel weird, I'm offering to make people handmade cards if they would like something for their donations. You can let me know what you would like through this Google Form: https://forms.gle/s5Ezv7LYxaixpfAG7
Any additional amount raised will go towards paying off other debts.
Thank you for helping us get our life back after some mistakes and hardships. We are forever grateful!
Love,
Ashley, Taylor, & Parker
