Mateus's spot in the Macy's Day Parade

Hello everyone! My name is Mateus Santos, and I am a junior at Celebration High School who recently earned a spot in the Macys day parade in New York. I was born and raised in Brazil until the age of 7, which I then moved to Kissimmee, Florida. I have always wanted to join a band/music class all throughout middle school but was unable to due to schedule issues. But when I got to high school, I finally was able to. At the end of my freshman year, I picked up the trumpet and completely fell in love with it. Ever since then I did not put it down, and joined jazz band, marching band, Seussical the Musical, and symphonic band. And shortly after applying for the Great American Marching Band, I was accepted!

Donating would help pay off the uniforms, food, hotel costs, plane tickets, transportation, leadership sessions and sightseeing along with all of the other band members.

Me along with my fellow band member (Quentin Mootz) have the honor to take part in this band which is a once in a lifetime opportunity! support from anyone who wants to help would be a blessing. Thank you so much!

Olá a todos! Meu nome é Mateus Santos, e sou um aluno da Celebration High School que recentemente ganhou uma vaga no desfile do dia da Macys em Nova York. Nasci e cresci no Brasil até os 7 anos de idade, quando me mudei para Kissimmee, na Flórida. Eu sempre quis participar de uma aula de banda/música durante toda a escola primária, mas não consegui devido a problemas de agenda. Mas quando cheguei ao ensino médio, finalmente consegui. No final do meu ano de calouro, peguei o trompete e me apaixonei completamente por ele. Desde então não o deixei de lado e entrei para banda de jazz, banda de marcha, Seussical the Musical, e banda sinfônica. E logo depois de me inscrever para a Great American Marching Band, fui aceito!

A doação ajudaria a pagar os uniformes, alimentação, custos de hotel, passagens aéreas, transporte, sessões de liderança e passeios turísticos, juntamente com todos os outros membros da banda.
