Today, we are launching a campaign in solidarity with the greater Tibga community to raise funds for the construction of a fully-equipped maternity ward accessible to all, with architectural plans developed by renowned architect Francis Kéré. This place will allow women to give birth safely, supported by trained medical staff caring for their essential needs, while providing a better future to the entire community.

The current maternity ward in Tibga, Burkina Faso, is meant to serve a population of 59,000 but houses merely 3 hospital beds. The situation has reached a critical state with the massive influx of internally displaced persons due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis. There is no laboratory available, making it impossible to perform essential medical tests needed to monitor pregnancies and deliveries.

To honor this collective commitment, the names of contributors who choose to be recognized will be permanently displayed on a commemorative plaque at the project site in Tibga, Burkina Faso.
