Help Mateo & the Vargas family fight Leukemia!

Dear friends, family, and loving community surrounding the Vargas family,

On January 10th, 2024 Mateo and his family received devasting news that he had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

While they are crushed by this diagnosis, they remain steadfast in their faith, trusting in God as the healer of all things, and believing in His designs for Mateo.

"For I know the plans I have for you... plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11

Mateo has received his first two rounds of chemotherapy as part of the intensive Induction Phase of his treatment and remains in the hospital where the doctors can monitor his response. While the goal is for Mateo to return home soon, his fight against Leukemia has just begun and will be a long, hard road ahead.

To know Mateo is to love him- he is goofy, loving, and genuine.

Mateo is missing the last semester of his Sophomore year and countless practices with his soccer team as he undergoes treatment, but we know Mateo's determination, resilience, and unwavering faith, and he will win this fight to come back stronger than before.

This Go Fund Me is being set up to relieve some of the financial burden a cancer diagnosis can bring so that the Vargas family can focus on supporting and healing Mateo.
