Hello, my name is Maria, and I want to share the story of my sweet boy, Mateo.

Mateo is about to celebrate his 9th birthday on August 22. He is the most loving, silly, and full-of-life companion I could ever ask for. Sadly, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his right shoulder.

The only chance to give Mateo more time with me is through surgery to amputate his leg and follow-up chemotherapy. He’s such a fighter, and his spirit hasn’t dimmed one bit — he still greets everyone with love and joy, reminding me every day why he’s my heart and my family.

I’ve already spent several thousand dollars on vet and emergency visits, and while I will continue doing everything I can, I can’t afford the cost of the surgery and treatments on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out with so much hope and humility.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Mateo’s surgery, chemotherapy, and care. Your kindness will give him the chance to live out his golden years surrounded by love, playfulness, and comfort.

Hola, mi nombre es María y quiero compartir la historia de mi dulce Mateo.

Mateo está a punto de cumplir 9 años el 22 de agosto. Es el compañero más amoroso, juguetón y lleno de vida que podría pedir. Lamentablemente, el jueves 14 de agosto de 2025 fue diagnosticado con osteosarcoma (cáncer de hueso) en su hombro derecho.

La única oportunidad de darle a Mateo más tiempo conmigo es a través de una cirugía para amputar su pata y un tratamiento de quimioterapia. Él es un verdadero luchador, y su espíritu sigue intacto: todavía recibe a todos con amor y alegría, recordándome cada día por qué es mi corazón y mi familia.

Ya he gastado varios miles de dólares en visitas veterinarias y de emergencia, y aunque seguiré haciendo todo lo que pueda, no puedo costear sola la cirugía y los tratamientos. Por eso recurro a ustedes, con mucha esperanza y humildad.

Cada donación, sin importar el monto, irá directamente para la cirugía, la quimioterapia y el cuidado de Mateo. Su generosidad le dará la oportunidad de vivir sus años dorados rodeado de amor, alegría y comodidad.
