Mateo Medina qualified for the 100m, 200m, and 400m at the USATF Junior Olympic National Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon July 25-30, 2023. We are trying to raise funds in order for Mateo to compete in Oregon and cap off an already successful year in Track. Mateo is a student-athlete that will be going into his senior year at Elyria High School. During the school year, he is a Proud Pioneer on the Elyria High School Track and Field Team. This year he set the school record in the 100m with a time of 10.61 and in the 200m with a time of 21.08. Over the summer he competes with the Oberlin Spikes Track Club. where he has competed in the USATF Youth National Track Meet in Ohio where he placed second in the 100m and first in the 200m and 400m. Mateo competed at the USATF Junior Olympics Region V Meet in Michigan with the following results: 100m- 1st Place with a time of 10.93 200m- 1st Place with a time of 20.98 (PR) 400m- 1st Place with a time of 48.16 Mateo will be greatly appreciative of any donations that will help him get to Oregon to compete at the Jr Olympics. All donations will be used for airfare, hotel accommodations, travel expenses, food, and competition fees.
