FOR THOSE DONATING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES THESE ARE AMERICAN DOLLARS NOT PESOS.
SCROLL DOWN FOR MATEO’S STORY. WHEN I ADDED PHOTOS IT PUSHED HIS STORY TO THE BOTTOM.
Mateo Diaz age 14 was practicing motocross at 3 Palms in Conroe, Texas when he crashed and was ultimately fatally injured. The accident happened Wednesday, March 20, 2024 and he passed away two days later. His mom and dad decided to give the wonderful gift of life by donating his organs so another parent will not suffer the loss of their child. Mateo and his family came to the United States from Mexico to race two motocross Nationals at Freestone MX and Oakhill MX and The Great American Team Race at 3 Palms which the latter was held this past weekend. His ultimate goal was his road to Loretta’s starting with the area qualifier in 2 weeks at 3 Palms. We are trying to raise funds to help with medical bills, travel and funeral expenses for his family. We learned today that even though the family has insurance their insurance WILL NOT PAY MEDICAL BILLS INTERNATIONALLY. So they need all the help they can get from everyone.
Mateo was taken by ambulance to the hospital in The Woodlands where he had emergency brain surgery, they LifeFlighted him to Children’s Memorial Herman in Houston, Texas. After everything is done with the organ donation Mateo’s remains will be cremated, flown back to Mexico and laid to rest alongside his paternal grandmother.
