Hello, my name is Mateen Stewart. I'm a comedian based in LA. Recently, my family and I were displaced because of the Eaton Fire. The home is luckily still standing, but there is no timetable to return because the home is not safe to stay in yet due to the aftermath.

The last three weeks have been tough, jumping from hotel to hotel living out of a suite case, but thanks to the community, things have been made a lot easier. All the help has been greatly appreciated.

Things were going well, I was just able to celebrate a great milestone by headlining the Improv and celebrating my birthday, but unfortunately, I no longer have a suitcase to live out of because my car was broken into in DTLA while it was in the parking garage. The thieves got away with my bag containing a majority of my clothes, three pairs of Jordans, my merch bag (no clue what they will do with 100 “Male Birth Control” bands), and a few valuables I was able to take with me during the evacuation.

A police report was filed, but the garage doesn’t have cameras on the second floor of the structure where my car was. My car insurance doesn’t cover the theft either.

I can't believe that this happened, and recently it's just been a series of unfortunate events. I'm remaining positive, but in the meantime, I need new underwear :).

Anything you give will go directly to replacing the things that were taken from my car.
