This world lost a treasure on November 29th 2020. Our baby girl Matayha succumbed to a quiet, insidious disease: Clinical depression. Matayha suffered valiantly from the ravages of this physically transparent illness since early adolescence. Depression is typically incurable and as deadly as cancer or heart disease. It is a disease of the mind and one’s mental outlook.
Matayha was funny, and hospitable, she loved animals, and always picked up the pieces for other’s broken hearts. She was a gifted singer and was the life of any party. She will be remembered for her humbleness her sparkling blue eyes her long squeeze hug and her infectious laugh.
Her parents would appreciate any monetary gift to put towards a proper send off and a memorial she deserves. Any funds over the goal will go towards Mental Health America
On many occasions Matayha’s parents sought help for her and there were not resources available. Mental Health America advocate for legislation that affects the lives of people with mental health conditions and their families.
Thank you for your generosity.
