Hello! This is Matèa’s little sister, Lyric. I’ve decided to start a “Go Fund Me” to help pay for her expensive surgeries. On Easter day, my family gathered for family dinner to celebrate and catch up with life. Before the end of the day when everyone was leaving my sister notice a large bump on the side of her neck. We thought it might be allergies but we weren’t too alarmed until the following week she noticed the lump had grown over twice it’s size and started to close her air ways making it hard to breath. This immediately put Matèa into a panic and was rushed to the hospital to see what this lump was. She had multiple x-rays and exams and the doctors said they wouldn’t be certain of what it was until they remove it in surgery. Matèas surgery was expedited due to her conditions and her not being able to breath. The doctors removed the big lump in her neck and part of her Thyroid. They then tested her for cancer and the found out that it was positive. She is now scheduled for this Friday to have the rest of the Thyroid/ Cancer removed. Here is a little bit about Matèa. Matèa is one of the strongest women I know. Ever since Matèa was little she’s always been a fighter. She’s always stood up for people when they needed it and has been a strong advocate for speaking her truth. Matèa has a hard time asking anyone for help even though she is always offering to go the extra mile for anyone in need. I would like to help relieve some of the financial burden that cancer comes with. Matèa has two young children that she has raised to be just has strong and passionate as she is. Both of her children are under the age of 4 and they are her life. She has a loving husband who works very hard for their sweet family and is the best dad to their wonderful children. Cancer is something no one can plan for and can turn someone’s world completely upside down. Please help us raise some money for this wonderful family. Anything and everything helps!
