Matarazzo Family Medical Expenses

My twin cousins, Lauren and Natalie Matarazzo (both 17), were involved in a car accident this October (2020).  They had just begun their senior year in high school. They were on their way to school in the rain, when they hydroplaned, swerved to miss an on-coming car, and crashed into a tree stump.  The car was totaled and they were both rushed into the ER.

Lauren suffered a spinal injury, but it did not require surgery.  She is now home, in a back brace & completing physical therapy each week. Natalie suffered a more severe spinal injury, causing her to lose sensation in her legs - she went right into surgery after arriving at the hospital.  She also suffered a sternum compression fracture, a fractured ankle (also requiring surgery), and a broken collar bone.  After her operations were complete, she was transferred to a rehab center, where she is receiving the best possible care and completing multiple physical therapy sessions a week.  As of now, she still cannot move her legs, but some slight tingling/itching sensations are coming back - which keeps us hopeful!  Her recovery is expected to take approximately 18 months.  Also, due to COVID, she is not allowed to have visitors, and her parents can only go in to see her one at a time.

My aunt & uncle are amazing people and deserve to be spending this time caring for their daughters, NOT having to worry about current, or future medical bills, adding up.  Their mother had also battled breast cancer (she is currently 4 years in remission), and the family is still paying off her medical bills, too.  
So, In preparation for the immense emotional & financial toll this will take on them, we decided to set up this page to aid them with their finances & send prayers their way.
