Mata Chintapurni Hindu Temple Building Fund

About Mata Chintapurni Mandir St. Albans

Established in 2011, the Mata Chintapurni Arts/Education and Cultural Centre was started due to the need of the growing Indian community to both have a place of worship and also a place to congregate to engage in Indian events and activities.

The organisation is not only a temple, but a community centre which facilitates health activities (free yoga and free meals), Indian events (Holi, Diwali and many more) and also a centre where young and old members of the community can congregate to learn about Hinduism.

Move to new location

The previous location at 191 William St St. Albans was leased from 2011 until 2020 and necessitated a move to a permanent location.

In 2020 the centre shifted to its new location at 4 Charles St St Albans which is a property owned by the Temple Trust. The site is 1600sqm in total size with approximately 800sqm available for the temple and 800sqm available for car parking.

By purchasing the temple land it will ensure the Hindu temple remains available for generations to come.

The centre is located less than 1km from Keilor Planes train station (within 10 minutes walking distance).
