Mastery Charter Shoemaker Boys Lacrosse

Tax deductible
Due to school budget cuts, a “pay to play” extra curricular system, and lack of quality coaching urban youth living in poverty are almost 50% less likely to play sports then their suburban counterparts

As the Boy's Lacrosse Coach at Mastery Charter Shoemaker in West Philadelphia I see these issues first hand and am battling to make a difference. But I need help.

Our program lacks funding for basic equipment and uniforms to function as a team. A suburban family spends approx. $1,289 annual for a child to play lacrosse. Our team has $3000 allocated for 28 players.

Please help me raise $10,000 to close our funding gap and provide access to sports that so many of us take for granted.

Your gift will help an at-risk youth benefit from the lessons of teamwork, healthy competition, hard work and have a safe place to go after school.

Mastery Shoemaker Varsity Lacrosse is part of the Youth Mentoring Partnership’s Coaches of Excellence program which leverages sports to provide positive mentoring connections, teach SMART goal setting skills, develop grit and the practice of gratitude.  www.youthmp.org
