Recently Al’s Angels Animal Rescue took in a dog named Tow Mater he’s a 14 week old Basset Hound mix. The back story on Mater is when he was born he was put into a kennel with his mother and siblings, while his former owners left and came back they noticed Mater couldn't use his back legs.  Mater was brought to a vet where he recommended that Mater be euthanized because he is paralyzed in his back legs, thankfully his former owner disagreed and took him back home.  We then received a message on Facebook asking if we can help this little 8 week old pup, our VP is a God Send to this rescue and thankfully because of her we were able to take Mater in.  Mater was seen by our vet, we got good news and we got bad news. The good news is Mater is not paralyzed and can walk again the bad news is its going to cost us $3,000 dollars. Mater is going to be referred over to VA Tech where he will receive an MRI and discuss surgery. The MRI alone is $1,200 and $1,800 will be the surgery cost. The older and bigger Mater gets the success of the surgery lowers tremendously, we have to raise this money for Mater soon as possible.  Donating to Mater, you are literally helping a dog walk again!
