Masters of Public Administration Fall 2024

Hi Everyone, my name is Marquita Young and I am seeking a Masters in Public Administration at the University of Pennsylvania this upcoming fall. I have been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to gain the experience I need to uplift the city I was raised in and your gift would mean turning my dream into reality.

As a South Philly native, I am proud to have graduated from CAPA high school on South Broad. I then attended, The American University in Washington, D.C., where I became the first in my family to earn a bachelor’s degree. While studying political science and legal studies, my passion for civil service grew, taking me to an internship in Bob Casey’s Capitol Hill office.

I want to use my degree to serve underserved and underrepresented communities in Philadelphia and this degree would give me the tools I need. Black and Brown people deserve an equal opportunity to obtain higher education – your gift would help a passionate, first gen, student of color be the representation I wanted to see when I was younger in Philly.
