Support an artist to fund MASTERS

Hi, my name is Vidushi Gupta. I am an Indian early career artist and was offered a place in the MA Contemporary Art Practice course at the no.1 university in arts in the world- Royal College of Arts for 2024-25. Education loans in India need a parental co-signee which I was unable to arrange as they waited until 1 week left for the payment to tell me they will not be supporting my career. Scholarships are only awarded when an education loan from their preferred bank is taken. If I self fund part of my tuition they believe I’m not a cadidate suited for scholarships.

Jobs in the art industry are highly underpaid and building a career as a women in India even tougher. I have previously taught art to kids aged 6-15 years and conduct art workshops.

The tuition fee for my course is 35.9k and this fundraiser will help me pay for my admission. All my savings will be used for living expenses.

It is the most prestigious university in the world and unfortunately doesn’t offer deferrals which makes it essential for me to meet funds for this year. It’s my dream to study at an instituition that promises a big leap in art careers and focuses on social and political impact of art.
