Drifters in Grey City

I’m Rachele Demarchi, a 25-year-old film student based in Berlin. Drifters in Grey City is a 10–15 minute poetic docu-fiction shot entirely on Super 8 film.

It follows a day of drifting through Berlin, a city seen through emotion, memory, and chance encounters. The film blends real footage and animation to create an evolving emotional map of the city.

Shooting on Super 8 is a costly but essential choice for me: it’s part of my artistic growth and my desire to explore cinema as a tactile, intimate medium.
