Hello,
My name’s Fabrizio, I was born and raised in Genova, an old and beautiful town by the sea in the north west of Italy. The name Genoa originally means "door" and actually that is what Genova is, a door, an open gate for different cultures from all over the world. Becoming an actor was my dream since I was 4 years old, the main reason for it being probably that I wanted to entertain the members of my family and, in order to bring some joy in the house, I developed an attitude to tell stories very early. I have been always very committed to work hard and become a professional actor since I was a kid. I got into my first acting school when I was 11 and I joined my first Theatre company at 17 year’s old in high school. Then I decided to attend a professional school. I was admitted to the Acting school of The National Theatre of Italy in Genova, (known for having the best reputation among drama schools) when I was 19. In the same years I started my BA in humanities, studying Italian, Drama, Latin and Ancient Greek. I have been involved in several productions with the Italian National Theatre during my time at school, and I ve been cast in many shows even before my graduation in 1998. Since the early stage I grasped every chance to meet different directors and to make any sort of experience as an actor: screen, stage, kids show, physical theatre, stand up, opera, puppet and shadow theatre. I have been working for 23 years as actor, stage director and also opera director. I did few feature films, some tv and commercials. But mainly I've been working in Theatre. I love acting more than anything else, because it makes me feel alive and anew every time. To me acting is working in team, sharing differences and learning. In 2015 my father passed away and I entered in my forties. I felt I need to push my dreams forward and I decided to take courage to dare.
After 23 years of acting I feel I want to make a real change and go back to the foundation of my work and dedicate 1 year to consolidate my skills, internationally. I have been offered a place for the MA Acting Contemporary at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. This MA would be my chance for a fresh new start in my career besides a great opportunity to work internationally. In this very moment, when all the show business is suffering terribly due the world pandemic, I feel it's crucial to take courage and invest in training and performing arts. I have been saving as much as possible since 2019 but the global crisis cut my resources to the bones. The fees for my MA Acting Contemporary course are £20.137. Thanks to all my efforts, now I only need £10.000 to start my course on Janurary 2021 and make my dream come true.
I am determined to do all my best, to grow and deepen. I believe that age is an opportinity, when you keep on taking challenges and work on yourself. I wish my experience could inspire and encourage the youth, to follow their dreams and never give up. I would like to make this year my milestone from now on.
For every £100, I am happy to offer a 1h one to one session of acting or public speaking.
I can also offer group workshops. Please contact me for more info about that.
Thank you very much for your support!
Best wishes
Fabrizio
