Master Carpenter and animal rescuer needs help

Jeremy Archey, a master carpenter and beloved animal rescuer, suffered a grievous injury to his dominant hand in early September. He lost his pointer and middle fingers and is praying the repairs to his ring finger are successful. Medical bills for his eight day stay in the hospital are over $46,000. Jeremy is facing 6 months of physical therapy and occupational rehabilitation which will add an additional $14,000 to his bill. At this time it is not known how much of his previous work he will be able to do, given the limitations of his hand.

Jeremy and his wife, Nima, love animals. The Archeys have worked with animal rescue groups in four states to foster dogs for transport to no kill shelters: Mississippi (Mercer Animal Rescue/Olive Branch, Mississippi Mutts/Oxford, Second Chance Animal Alliance/Water Valley), Tennessee (Real Good Dog Rescue/Memphis and Pets Are Worth Saving (PAWS) in middle Tennessee), New Jersey (Jersey Girls Animal Rescue), and Pennsylvania (Stray Network Animal Rescue (SNAR) and Furkid Rescue). The Archeys have fostered more than 300 dogs for these rescue groups over the years. They have been the go-to foster group for pregnant dogs and puppies as they have never had a Parvo outbreak on their property.

In addition, the Archeys run an animal sanctuary and currently 23 elderly, chronically sick, and otherwise unadoptable dogs have found their forever homes with the them.

We are asking for financial help to pay Jeremy’s medical bills and rehabilitation, to keep the dogs in his care fed and their necessary medicines and vet care covered, and to support Jeremy as he recovers and figures out how much of his previous work he will be able to continue doing.
