Hi ihr,

ich bin Ruben, nicht-binär und nutze keine Pronomen. Ich spiele gerne Fußball und liebe es im Sommer am See zu liegen.

Worum es hier eigentlich geht, ich sammle hier Spenden für meine Mastektomie. Leider fehlen mir die finanziellen Mittel, um diese aus eigener Tasche zu bezahlen, was der Grund für dieses GoFundMe ist.

Was ist eine Mastektomie?

Eine Mastektomie ist eine Operation, bei der das Brustgewebe entfernt wird, um eine flache Brust zu erreichen. Mein Ziel ist es, diese OP idealerweise im Herbst dieses Jahres durchführen zu lassen, um mich ein Stück weit freier und wohler in meinem Körper zu fühlen.

Warum brauche ich eure Unterstützung?

Nach vielen Telefonaten mit der Krankenkasse musste ich leider auch feststellen, dass es für mich kaum möglich ist, die Kosten für die OP von der Krankenkasse übernommen zu bekommen. Die Krankenkasse stellt dabei ziemlich hohe Hürden. So wird von mir beispielsweise ein binär verfasstes Indikationsschreiben, die Einnahme von Testosteron, ein Translebenslauf, mindestens ein halbes Jahr Therapie usw. verlangt, um dann zu entscheiden, ob die Kasse meine OP übernehmen wird oder nicht.

Da ich kein Testosteron nehmen möchte, müsste ich in der Folge einen aufwändigen Widerspruchsprozess durchlaufen, bei dem die Chancen, diesen auch zu gewinnen, ziemlich schlecht stehen.

Das sind einige der vielen Gründe, warum ich mich entschieden habe, die OP also selbst zu bezahlen. Eine Mastektomie kostet zwischen 6.500 und 9.000 Euro. Um mir dies finanzieren zu können, benötige ich eure Hilfe!

Eure Spenden fließen dabei nicht nur in die OP selbst, sondern auch in Zusatzkosten wie den Klinikaufenthalt, Medikamente, orthopädische Hilfsmittel und Versicherungskosten für eventuell anfallende Nachbehandlungen.

Sollte nach all dem noch Geld übrig sein, wird es an eine andere Spendenkampagne zur Finanzierung einer non-binären Mastektomie weitergeleitet.

I'm Ruben, non-binary and I don't use pronouns. I'm collecting donations here for my mastectomy. I love summer hangouts on the lake and I like to play soccer. Unfortunately, I don't have the funds to pay for it out of my own pocket, which is the reason for this GoFundMe.

What is a mastectomy?

A mastectomy is an operation in which the breast tissue is removed in order to achieve a flat breast. My goal is to have this surgery ideally this fall to feel more comfortable in my body.

Why do I need your support?

After many phone calls with the health insurance company, I unfortunately found out that it is hardly possible for me to get the costs of the operation covered by the health insurance company. The health insurance company has quite high hurdles. For example, I am required to submit a binary letter of indication, take testosterone, have a trans CV, undergo at least six months of therapy, etc. in order for the insurance company to decide whether or not to cover my surgery.

As I don't want to take testosterone, I would then have to go through a lengthy appeals process, the chances of winning which are pretty slim.

These are some of the many reasons why I decided to pay for the operation myself. A mastectomy costs between 6,500 and 9,000 euros. I need your help to be able to finance this!
