My name is Jill Brooks. I am starting this GoFundMe for a special friend and her husband. Barbara Massey was diagnosed with breast cancer last summer. She has been receiving chemo treatments weekly since July 2021 except for a few times where she was so sick she was hospitalized. She and her husband Michael own and run American Furniture Repair and have been very successful. She has continued to work the office through nausea, fever, and exhaustion. Her husband has continued to do home visits even though he has been the primary caregiver with her isolation. This week he has injured himself and requires surgery. He will be out of work mending. Barbara is almost to the point where she is supposed to have her surgery. This couple desperately needs our help now. Anyone that knows them knows that they are the most giving family you've ever met. Honestly, it is hard to be friends with someone that will outgive you. I have known her my entire life, and I am blessed because of it. She doesn't have a clue I'm doing this, because I didn't ask for permission. She would do it for me. In fact, she probably would already have done it. This is a small amount toward some of their expenses, since they will be unemployed for several weeks.
