Massey Hall Seat Naming in Honour of Tim Thorney
This past week Tim Thorney posted on his social media for the last time, letting all who love him know he is entering palliative care at home with those he loves. On Tuesday June 15, 2021, Tim passed away at home with his beloved Buttercup at his side.
There has been a huge outpouring of love and support for Tim and clearly he has impacted so many lives. One of the lovely ideas that was put forth by John Bailey, is a small but beautiful way to honour Tim.
Through historic Massey Hall in Toronto, an aspirational home for our nation’s great artists and international iconic entertainers, we can leave a lasting legacy by adding Tim's name to the Hall.
When we name the seat in support of the Massey Hall Revitalization Project, your gift ensures Canada’s most preeminent cultural treasure thrives and fuels the joy and power of live performance that will keep going down in history. Your dedication will be engraved on a plaque installed on an armrest, leaving your mark on the Hall.
