Masseria in Apulien - Kochen in Italien

Ciao, ich bin Giorgia - geboren und aufgewachsen in der Schweiz, doch mit dem Herzen tief im Salento, in Apulien in Italien verwurzelt. Dort leben (lebten) meine Grosseltern, bei denen ich viele Sommer verbrachte und eines gelernt habe: Kochen bedeutet Gemeinschaft. In ihrer Küche habe ich gespürt, wie viel Liebe und Wärme durch einfaches Essen weitergegeben wird. Das Leuchten in den Augen meines Grossvaters, als er mir den Teller reichte ist unverwechselbar und wenn ich heute koche, dann fühle ich mich ihnen Nahe.

Mein Herzensprojekt:

Ich möchte in Apulien eine kleine Masseria als Sommerbetrieb eröffnen. Ein Ort, an dem Gäste aus aller Welt gemeinsam kochen, lernen Pasta herzustellen, heimischen Wein trinken und die Möglichkeit haben sich auszutauschen. Ein Ort an dem man zusammen sein kann, auch wenn man keine Familie mehr hat. Ein Ort, an dem die Zeit stehen bleibt und man mit den Händen arbeitet und die Einfachheit des Lebens schätzt und geniesst.

Ich betreibe bereits einen Foodblog, in dem ich meine Leidenschaft für die Küche teile. (www.lacucinadigiorgia.ch).

Das Besondere:

Ich möchte einen Teil des Gewinn dieses Projekts Menschen widmen, die es im Leben schwerer haben als wir. Vor allem Menschen mit Behinderung möchte ich durch Spenden, Workshops oder andere Formate unterstützen und integrieren. Warum? Weil es für mich selbstverständlich ist, zu helfen, wo man helfen kann. So können auch diese Personen einen Ausflug bezahlen oder lebensnotwendige Geräte gekauft werden.

Warum ich deine Unterstützung brauche:

Ich finanziere den Hauptteil des Projekts selbst (resp. bin ich daran das Geld zu sparen) - mit Erspartem und viel Engagement. Der Traum der Masseria brennt so stark in mir und ich weiss, dass dies mein Lebensweg sein wird. Der Business-Plan steht bereits. Alleine diesen Weg zu gehen ist spannend, aufwühlend, mit Ängsten verbunden und intensiv nebst meiner 100%-Arbeitsstelle. Dennoch kann ich mir nichts Schöneres vorstellen als Menschen zu verbinden, glücklich zu sehen und ihnen ein Erlebnis zu bieten, von dem sie ein Leben lang berichten können.

Kochen verbindet. Essen ist eine internationale Sprache und ich möchte Traditionen weitergeben und Menschen helfen.

Ciao, I'm Giorgia – born and raised in Switzerland, but with my heart deeply rooted in Salento, in Apulia, Italy. That’s where my grandparents live(d), and where I spent many of my summers, learning one important lesson: cooking means community. In their kitchen, I felt how much love and warmth can be shared through simple food. The sparkle in my grandfather's eyes as he handed me a plate is something I’ll never forget. And today, when I cook, I feel close to them.

My project:

I want to open a small masseria in Apulia as a seasonal retreat. A place where guests from all over the world can cook together, learn how to make pasta, enjoy local wine, and connect with each other. A place where people can feel a sense of belonging – even if they no longer have a family of their own. A place where time seems to stand still, where we work with our hands and appreciate the simplicity of life.

What makes it special:

I want to dedicate a part of the profits from this project to people who face more challenges in life than we do. Especially persons with disabilities – I want to support and include them through donations, workshops, or other formats. Why? Because for me, it’s simply natural to help where help is needed. This way, they might be able to afford a day trip or purchase essential equipment they otherwise couldn’t.

Why I need your support:

I’m funding the main part of this project myself (or rather, I’m currently saving for it). The dream of the masseria is burning strongly inside me, and I know it’s the path I’m meant to follow. The business plan is already written. Walking this path alone is exciting, emotional, at times scary, and intense – especially alongside my full-time job. But I can’t imagine anything more beautiful than bringing people together, making them happy, and offering them an experience they’ll remember for a lifetime.

Cooking connects. Food is a universal language, and I want to pass on traditions and help others.

Ciao, sono Giorgia – nata e cresciuta in Svizzera, ma con il cuore profondamente radicato nel Salento, in Puglia. È lì che vivono (o vivevano) i miei nonni, con cui ho trascorso molte estati e da cui ho imparato una cosa fondamentale: cucinare significa condivisione. Nella loro cucina ho sentito quanto amore si può trasmettere attraverso piatti semplici. Lo sguardo di mio nonno mentre mi dava il piatto è un ricordo indelebile. E ancora oggi, quando cucino, mi sento vicina a loro.

Il mio progetto del cuore:

Vorrei aprire una piccola masseria in Puglia, attiva durante l’estate. Un luogo dove ospiti da tutto il mondo possano cucinare insieme, imparare a fare la pasta, degustare vini locali e condividere esperienze. Un luogo dove si possa stare insieme, anche se non si ha più una famiglia. Un luogo in cui il tempo sembra fermarsi, si lavora con le mani e si riscopre il valore della semplicità.

Cosa rende speciale questo progetto:

Vorrei destinare una parte dei profitti a persone che affrontano difficoltà maggiori delle nostre. In particolare, desidero sostenere e includere persone con disabilità, attraverso donazioni, workshop o altre iniziative. Perché? Perché per me è naturale aiutare, dove si può. Così anche loro potranno, ad esempio, permettersi una gita o acquistare dispositivi necessari alla loro quotidianità.

Perché ho bisogno del tuo sostegno:

Sto finanziando gran parte del progetto da sola (o meglio, sto risparmiando per farlo) – con i miei risparmi e tanta dedizione. Il sogno della masseria brucia forte dentro di me, e so che questo è il mio cammino. Il business plan è già pronto. Percorrere questa strada da sola è emozionante, a tratti spaventoso e impegnativo – soprattutto accanto a un lavoro al 100%. Ma non riesco a immaginare nulla di più bello che unire le persone, vederle felici e offrire loro un’esperienza da ricordare per tutta la vita.

Cucinare unisce. Il cibo è un linguaggio universale, e io desidero trasmettere tradizioni e aiutare gli altri.
