MASSAGE THERAPIST LOSES HAND IN HORRIFIC CAR ACCIDENT

Jeffery worked for Massage Envy - West Boynton Beach location for over 3-years. Massage was his career and his calling. He was always learning something new as he wanted to excel in his profession and help people feel better. He is one of the nicest people I know and was always there with a helping hand to those around him. 

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, Jeff was driving to work when he lost control of his car, and flipped, on slippery pavement. He was rushed to the hospital and into trauma surgery.  As he was being wheeled into surgery he called my clinic manager and apologized for letting her down by not showing up. He cared about his job, and clients, and wanted to make sure she knew he was not coming in. While he was speaking she could hear them in the background telling him to get off the phone as they needed to get him immediately into surgery. Jeff usually arrived at least an hour early as he liked to get some food and relax before starting his shift. This was not about him rushing to work to make his shift.

Saturday night, after surgery, Jeff called my manager on Facetime to let her know he was alive, and okay, but had to have his left hand amputated.  He wants to get back into massage, and I believe with his determination he will find a way to make that happen.

The franchisees, corporate staff, and employees of Massage Envy throughout the nation have been extremely supportive with articles for Jeff, their prayers, and donations. They are all an amazing group of people. 

Jeff does not have insurance. His medical bills and prosthetic costs will be very high. The foreseeable future will be tough for him financially as he recovers, and then gets retrained to enter the workforce again. This is why Nina and I set up the GoFundMe for him. We would love to see Jeff get back into the massage profession. Thank you for your help and consideration.
