Mass Movement Community Arts

Mass Movement has been open for almost 3 years now at our newest location. This is in and of itself a massive accomplishment. The lifespan of DIY venues is very short, and in that 3 years time we have hosted some amazing bands and had some great shows. But we have been operating at a loss for most of that time. Having an all ages spot with no bar makes it hard to generate consistent revenue, we knew this going in and have tried fighting the good fight in spite of it.

We are at a point again where we need a little help. Our lease is up on January 1st and in order for us to stay we need to come up with some money, general repair like fixing a broken sink, plugging a leak, replacing mic cables, mic stands, etc etc. this stuff adds up over time, and while we make enough to pay rent from shows and renting out as a rehearsal space, we don’t make enough to do everything.

if you can spare it, we will use the money to keep providing a space for young bands to ply their trade. Thank you for 3 great years, we hope to be around for 3 more!
