A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS
Masoom Charitable Trust is an Indian non-profit charitable trust based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. My wife and I had the privilege & honor of volunteering with them during our recent visit. If you know anything about India, stray dogs are typically overlooked and mistreated.
They have a group of amazing individuals who go out every morning and night (before and after their day jobs) to feed and look after more than 600 pups daily along with other stray animals such as cows, cats, and monkeys. They also foster and treat badly wounded dogs in their own home as well as bringing them to vets for further treatment. They're doing everything in their power to help with food, medical attention, vaccines, surgeries, medicine, etc.
We wanted to do anything we could to continue helping them while back in the States and as we all know with NPOs, funding is always one of the biggest struggles. Unfortunately, due to strict guidelines, they are unable to accept donations from non-Indian accounts. Therefore, we are using this platform to raise funds that will be transferred to them via our Indian bank accounts as this is the only workaround. We will also be doing our best to match as many donations as we can to help even further. A little goes a long way and we thank you for any bit of help you’re able to provide!
