Hi our names are Donna & Paul Baxter we are raising funds to help our son Mason to compete in the World Transplant Games in Dresden, Germany in August 2025. Mason is a very successful athlete in the British Transplant games and is one of the youngest ever chosen to represent team GB at the WTG, based on his times in his swimming and sprinting events he has an excellent chance of winning a medal in Germany. He is busily raising some money doing various jobs and sponsored events but every penny helps to give him a fantastic time in Germany that he deserves for all his hard work. Mason is 13, 6ft 1, 74kg and a real athlete despite having a liver Transplant in 2014 10 days before his 3rd birthday. We devastatingly lost Mason's brave big brother Ben to liver cancer on 7th October 2014 which prompted the doctors at Birmingham Children's hospital to check Mason and they found that the same would happen to him without a Transplant. Mason tries his hardest in everything he does in memory of Ben and the donor and their family who gave Mason his gift of life, and tries to make everyone proud of him. Mason is a great student at school and represents them in athletics he is also a sports leader and gives inspirational talks to other schools about his achievements despite having a Transplant. Mason trains 3 times a week swimming, works out at the gym and eats healthy. Mason would be so proud to win a medal in Germany for Ben, his family and friends and other younger Transplant athletes in th UK. If you could spare anything we would be forever grateful and would keep you updated on his progress.
