Masons school appeal

Many of you would be aware that our eldest son Mason has been diagnosed with Autism and is currently Non Verbal.

As he is due to start school in September no mainstream school can meet his needs as per his EHCP therefore requires a specialist school setting which will allow Mason to work with small groups and one to one basis which we believe would give Mason the best chance to thrive

Unfortunately, the local authority did not permit Mason a space and are pushing for him to go to our local mainstream school which cannot meet his needs and currently have no active SENCO on site. This is not something we will accept and we now have to start the appeal process.

This will involve obtaining a private Educational Practitioner, legal advice and potentially a solicitor.

This could be a lengthy battle and any help towards our cause would be greatly appreciated.
