Rushed an agonizing 4 hours away to Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA, Mason was admitted to the trauma ICU, where doctors fought to save his leg. They called it a miracle, but the road ahead is long and uncertain.

Mason has already endured three grueling surgeries—his broken tibia repaired, an arterial blood clot removed, and his knee painstakingly reconstructed. But this is just the beginning. He faces more surgeries, countless hours of physical therapy, and months of painful recovery. The reality is, Mason won’t be able to walk, let alone return to work, for at least 6-8 months.

For Mason, who takes pride in his work as an ironworker, the inability to provide for his family, especially with the fresh debt of his recent wedding, is a crushing blow. And for Sarah, his beloved wife, this journey has been equally overwhelming.
