Mason was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, one month after his 3rd Birthday in November 2016. Duchenne afftects one in ever 3,500 boys. It's a neuromuscular condition caused by the lack of a protein called dystrophin which causes progressive muscle weakness. There is no cure. It is enormously distressing to have a child diagnosed with Duchenne and that is why I have set up pages for him on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, all called Masons Muscles. This page is just for Masons needs- a suitable car seat, a motorised Wheelchair or adaptations to our house for him.
