Mason is Fighting Cancer (Leukemia)

Donation protected
Hello family and friends! My name is Joan and I am writing this on behalf of my 3 year old grandson, Mason Ball who has just been diagnosed with  B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on December 22, 2016.

You are receiving this as you may personally know Mason, are related to Mason , or know someone who has been touched and blessed to know him as a friend or family member.    Mason is the smartest, silliest and happiest little boy that I've ever known. A high energy little boy, in fact, his energy and fun spirit is contagious.

For a few weeks before Mason's hosptalization, he was not himself.  His mommy and daddy thought it was because he was adjusting to his twin siblings (born 11/28/16) coming home from the hospital.   He was seen in the ER on 12/21/16.  His bloodwork came back with his platelet count being dangerously low (10,000) and his white blood cell count as extremely high (90,000).  After the bloodwork results came back, he was transported by EMS from the Banner Gateway Hospital ER to Banner Desert Hospital/Cardon Children's Hospital.

His mommy and daddy were told that of all of the grim news they received, that "B cell Acute Lymphobastic Leukemia" is the better of the bad.  His cancer is very treatable and very beatable.  During one of his procedures, the doctors inserted a "port" into his heart where he will receive his chemotherapy treatments and it will also be used for any blood draws.  He has started his 3+ years of chemotherapy.

Here’s my ask of you –

1. Prayers: Please keep Mason and his family in your prayers. We are all praying that he will win his fight with cancer. It is our Faith that will keep him positive and smiling.

2. Financial Aid: The goal is to help support the James and Amanda Ball family with their upcoming medical expenses and to ease the financial burden in whatever way possible. Financial contributions would allow James and Amanda to focus on Mason and give them a little reprieve while they focus on being strong for him and supporting him through his journey.
As you may know that even fully insured families incur alot of additional expenses when a child has a long-term illness. (medical treatment, dr co-pays, prescription co-pays, lost wages due to hospital stays and doctor visits, etc.)

Any contribution however small would all add up and would make a big difference. Those of you that can give more, please give generously.

James and Amanda are most grateful for the prayers, love, support and donations and regret that they are unable to reply and thank anyone individually at this time.
