Mason’s Leukemia Fight

UPDATE 5/4/23: Thank you, thank you, thank you.. words cannot express our gratitude to all of those who are praying and supporting Mason along his leukemia journey. He has taken his first couple rounds of chemotherapy like an absolute champ. The doctors, nurses and staff at the University of Iowa have been amazing. We have a whole new gratitude towards everyone who works in that line of work.

We know this journey will be long, and some days will be harder than others.. we just continue to pray for our little guy. I hope you continue to do the same ❤️

On Wednesday morning we got a call that turned our lives upside down. Mason had his usual 18 month doctors appt where we brought up some concerns of small dots on his skin that showed up about 2 weeks ago and a swollen lymph node in his neck on Saturday. Our pediatrician ordered labs, called immediately with thoughts that Mason had leukemia.…

We drove straight to IA City on Wednesday with a confirmed diagnosis. Mason has B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

We now have a plan for the next ~2.5 years for Mason’s treatment.

Please pray for our boy to keep his happy demeanor, stay healthy, and lots of strength to beat cancer.
