Masons Jar

My name is Mason Talayumptewa from the Village of Shungopavi,Az on the Hopi ,Reservation. Im a Native American female from the water clan. I am a Hopi and Quechan descendant and a Enrolled member of the Quechan tribe in Yuma ,Az. Im a Senior attending Hopi jr/sr Highschool and I will be going to Washington D.C with the close up program in May of 2023. I have got excepted into Ft. Lewis college in Colorado and U of A in Arizona. I have decided and my choice is to attend the University of Arizona. I have made honor roll almost every year throughout highschool I am also involved in the Avid program.

I was captain of the Volleyball team this past year so I understand leadership,encouragement of peers and responsibility. I always display dedication in whatever I pursue or put my mind too.

I have also been fortunate to visit Harvard University medical program through a program offered at my high school. We got to spend time in the dorm while being there ,so I got to experience independence and how it would be away from home. We had to do presentations, classes and complete assignments while being there.

I am raising funds to help with travel expenses and other fees pertaining to my trip and transition into college!
