As you know, Mason is a rescue and has had upwards of $60,000 in surgeries over the past 4 years of his life. Mason was tossed out of a car and found in a gutter as a 1-month-old puppy suffering severe traumas. He is the best dog ever and my best friend. Poor guy recently had a sialocele develop from past impact trauma in his throat, causing airway distress. For those who would like to see the sialocele, here it is.

Because of this, Mason is unable to breathe properly and has been admitted for emergency surgery due to the danger of the obstruction. This surgery is immediate, unexpected, and necessary to keep him alive. Mason has already undergone 2 surgical procedures this year, wiping out all of my pet insurance for the year.
