Mason's 2023 PNW PGA 100-Hole Marathon Fundraiser
This will be my second year participating in the PNWPGA 100-Hole Challenge. I had so much fun at last year's event that I had to give it a go again. Last year we raised $3,075 for Footprints of Fight in support of families fighting pediatric cancer, and this year I want to make an even bigger impact in our community. On April 25th, 2023, I am going to #giveitalligot by taking the challenge to complete 100 holes of golf at Meadow Park Golf Course (Williams 9), and I am hoping to raise $10,000. If we meet the goal of 10k I will shave my head in honor of the families we are supporting! Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
Why I'm Supporting Footprints of Fight
Back in 2016, one of my close friends Seth Wood was diagnosed with brain cancer—he was only 16 at the time… he always had a smile on his face and had such an incredible attitude. #giveitallyougot was his motto as he fought to beat his cancer. I still wear a wristband with his name on it and the #giveitallyougot motto to this day. After his passing in 2017, his family has been a huge supporter of Footprints of Fight, supporting families with pediatric cancer. This is how I first found out about Footprints of Fight. His older brother has been one of my closest friends ever since Seth's passing and I have always considered him and his parents to be my second family. Through this fundraiser, I am striving to honor not only the memory of Seth but also the wonderful, passionate, kind and generous family he left behind. This one is for the Wood Family.
