Mason's Ankle Surgery

On Saturday, March 3 our sweet, sweet Mason suffered a terrfying injury in Thousand Acre Dog Park.  While playing fetch with Kate, Mason jumped for the ball but when he landed a loud, stick-breaking sound came from his back right ankle, and resulted in Kate carrying him out of the dog park and straight to the vet. 
In the past three days, we have learned there is a tear in his lateral collateral ligament which requires immediate surgery and is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

Anyone who knows Kate knows that Mason is the love of her life, but he is also a large part of her friend's lives too. On any given day, we could be greeted at the door by his happy-wiggle-butt dance, receive sweet cuddles, and witness sheer joy as he splashes around in the water. Mason has brought so many smiles to each of our faces, but the harsh reality is that his ankle needs surgery.  The total medical costs, including the surgery, x-rays, and recovery, is $6,000.  This is the only option that will allow him to heal properly, and have a chance at a healthy, fetch-playing life.
