The Masons are Adopting!

As some of you know, our journey to becoming parents has been filled with difficulty, patience, and a reliance on the Lord. For years, we struggled with infertility and got no answers. We both felt the Lord put adoption on our hearts from the beginning of our marriage, so in 2017, we began the adoption process. We didn't know how we would be able to raise the cost of adoption on our own, and we were reminded that the Lord wanted to involve a lot more people in his plan for us to have a child. There are countless stories of people who felt led to give to our adoption that still blow us away. Every dollar that was needed was provided for. In 2019, we met the remarkable woman who would choose us to raise her daughter, and in June of that year, our daughter Gray Amina Mason was born. The love that Gray's birth mother had for her will forever remind us of the sacrificial love God showed us. The Lord used the adoption process to change our lives forever. We will always feel like Gray has the biggest family because of the many friends and family members who helped bring her home.

Gray is four years old now, and she is ready to be a big sister. And we are ready for another child! We have many of the same worries and questions we had the first time, but we also know to be confident in what the Lord is doing. We believe that every dollar needed will be raised again, we know that there is a child out there that has been hand-picked by God to be our son or daughter, and we know that God's timing is best even if it's difficult for us a lot of days. We are so grateful to be adopting through a fantastic agency, Christian Homes and Family Services. This agency is ethical, amazing, and cares for birth mothers, babies, and adoptive families in such a beautiful way for over 60 years. We are so honored to be a part of their community. The path to adoption has so many financial obstacles. We were overwhelmed by the support we received years ago as friends and family fully funded our last adoption that brought Gray into our family. We hope the Lord will kindly do the same for us on this next journey into bringing a sibling for Gray into our home.
