Imagine starting school not knowing if you have a pencil or paper to use.

That nightmare is a reality for too many kids right here in San Diego. I am excited to share that I am collecting school supplies and raising money to purchase additional items for homeless and underprivileged children for my Bar Mitzvah project. Working with Dreams for Change, a wonderful organization that serves homeless and low-income families in San Diego, I will set up a marketplace this summer for the children to select their backpack and school necessities for the new year.

Your donations will go directly to the acquisition of backpacks and school supplies to set these children up for a successful school year. I greatly appreciate your support and I am extremely proud to practice tikkun olam (the jewish concept of Repairing the World) and help the community, I hope you are as ecstatic about helping these children as I am!
