Mason Rivers Medical Expenses Fund

Hi everyone,
Mason was born on January 26th. His mommy and daddy were overjoyed to meet him. His parents are very young but still met him with all the love in the world. Everything was perfect. Sadly, that did not last very long. Soon after birth the doctors discovered that little Mason's intestines did not develope all the way to the skin. In other words, he does not have an anus. He was rushed to a different hospital and put in the NICU. His mommy and daddy were very scared but rallied around Mason. His mommy was determined to be with him. So just six hours after giving birth she demanded to be discharged and followed the ambulance to the new hospital. Upon ariving to the hospital, the doctors made another scary discovery, little Mason has a butterfly vertebrae. The doctors continue to run tests to search for any other complications. They are going to oporate on Mason at just two days old. They will be putting in a colostomy and fistula. Mason will have this for approximately six months. After his intestines are fixed the doctors will work on his back. They say little Mason could be in the hospital for up to eight weeks. Through it all the young parents have been so brave. And little Mason has been amazing. He is so calm and happy even though his health is not ideal. Thank you for your time and thoughts.
