Mason Ohanas Fire Relief
Donation protected
As this week of devastation has unfolded, many of our community has lost lives, homes, cars, all possessions, livelihoods and their town. As many of our community members have hit the ground running, to lift up our less fortunate community members. some of those member holding their families up will need help too. Mason has been fortunate enough to have a roof over his head and some means to support his community. He has spent every waking minute checking on people door to door, running supplies, buying supplies, giving money, checking on lost property, sharing his home and protecting his people, while caring for his family of six. All with the most Aloha.
Once some of the ash settles and our most vulnerable have roofs over their heads we can start to think of these people, and what they need to heal as well.
Kekoa Mason Panis is a Native Hawaiian with generational ties to Lahaina town. His entire family was born and raised here with every bit of his heart and soul with these people and this town. Him and his family along with their young children are here for the long haul, of rebuilding this community and town to its natural and historical glory. His family has also lost their livelihood and means of supporting their children.
Along with him and his partner losing their livelihoods on Front Street and All of his tools at the job site. Mason has also lost his fishing boat in the Maui fire. He sells fish to the local fish market and restaurants around Lahaina town.
Although this isn’t the roof over his head it is a means of income to be able to provide for his family and community. This is a way to keep him able to stay in Maui. Let’s help keep local families like this on their homeland and able to support their people.
