On behalf of the Fry family, we are reaching out to the community for steal arms to support this family.

The Fry family this year found out the devastating news no family would like to hear.

There unborn child was diagnosed with severe spinal bifida at 22 weeks gestation. Masons was born sleeping at 22+1.

Mason was diagnosed with myelomeningocele, the most severe form of spina bifida.

Mason was due to join this family 5th October 2021.

We are raising funds for this family, to Farewell Mason to his "Heavens Cradle" with a memorial and a plaque and a place at Lilydale cemetery for remembrance.

Also to release 22 Butterflies at the service, for Masons journey to "Heavens Cradle"

We are hoping to alleviate some of the financial stresses for this grieving family and support the family to say ' this is not goodbye, its see you again one day'

Spina bifida is a birth defect that mainly affects the spine. Normally in the first month of pregnancy, a special set of cells forms the “neural tube.” The top of the tube becomes the brain and the remainder becomes the spinal cord and structures around it. In spina bifida, the neural tube doesn’t close all the way and some of the bones of the spine don’t close in the back.

Myelomeningocele is the most severe form of spina bifida. A portion of the spinal cord or nerves is exposed in a sac through an opening in the spine that may or may not be covered by the meninges. Most people with myelomeningocele have changes in their brain structure, leg weakness, and bladder and bowel dysfunction. Myelomeningocele is often called a snowflake condition because no two people with the condition are the same. Typically, the lower in the spine the opening occurs relates to less symptoms in the person. People with myelomeningocele require close follow-up with physicians throughout their childhood and lifespan to maximize their function and prevent complications such as kidney failure.
