Mason Brunette is 5 years old. He has just been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. Mason has a 9 cm x 9 cm mass in his stomach and the surrounding lymphnodes. A MIBG scan will be completed to see if there are others signs of the cancer in other areas of Mason's body. Chemotherapy will need to be done. A biopsy is scheduled for Friday, January 15th. Of course a full treatment plan can not be decided until these results come back in 2-3 days. Mason's mother, Makayla, has heard news that none of us would ever want to hear.
