MaskTask was started by a family who, like many of us, were eager to help amidst the spread of COVID-19. Mixed with fear, anxiety, and sadness during these times, we were trying to think of ways to touch those we are no longer able to physically touch. Many heroes are emerging in this fight, from the sanitation worker to the mail carrier to the fast food worker, we can't begin to express our gratitude towards those sacrificing so much to protect our families... yet we can only begin to try. With the CDC now recommending the usage of cloth masks for face protection, many on the front line and those who are homeless are not protected and are finding it difficult to access masks due to the high demand.

MaskTask partners with local small businesses in Orange County to support those service workers still on the job. Channeling 100% of donations to support local cleaners, alterations, and tailors that have transformed their business models to accommodate the demand for cloth masks, we supply our masks through their services and give to those most vulnerable. Supporting local businesses and spreading gratitude while protecting our local heroes and those most vunlerable sounds like a win-win scenario to us!
