#MasksForMinors

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently updated their guidelines to recommend wearing masks or cloth face coverings for all children 2 years and older when outside or in public. We are a group of young Staten Islanders leading the #MasksForMinors initiative to make and donate face coverings for children ages 2-10 years old. The masks are made with a variety of kid-friendly patterns and themes to increase the likelihood of children wearing them outside. Cindy He, a designer seamstress who wanted to lend her expertise in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, has volunteered her time and effort to make the masks. All masks are currently being donated to the Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) Pediatric Ambulatory Clinic at 800 Castleton Avenue in Staten Island. Our goal is to donate over 1000 face coverings to the clinic.
