Masks from ISB Alumni and Friends

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your interest in supporting NYC healthcare workers. 100% of these funds will be used to purchase and mail masks to NYC hospitals most in need. We have reached out to many hospitals and healthcare workers to assess need for masks, and now have donation channels set up with Bellevue Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, Montefiore, St. Barnabas Hospital (Bronx), and Flushing Hospital. We are also seeking contacts to other hospitals in need.

As you all know, New York has been hit particularly hard with COVID-19, and experts are saying we are still weeks away from reaching a peak in coronavirus cases. Our hospitals are overwhelmed. Temporary hospitals are being set up. Our healthcare workers are reusing single-use masks and have recently been told by the CDC to bring backup scarves and bandanas in case the masks run out.

The US government has yet to come up with a formal plan to get the protective equipment our healthcare workers need. We need a solution sooner. Luckily, a few ISB alums are in contact with certified mask suppliers and can ship masks directly to hospitals in NYC.  With current prices, including shipping, you can buy 10x surgical masks or 2x KN95 masks for just $5.

That being said, if you have any suggestions or know of a good source to acquire PPE sources, we are vetting a few so would appreciate your help.
