The Copper Country healthcare workers, the medically fragile, and front line essential community members need our help! With the shortage of face masks and equipment for our community we need to protect the immune-suppressed individuals as well as those that are keeping us safe and supplied during the impending pandemic due to the COVID-19 virus.
Face Masks From The Keweenaw is an integral coalition of dedicated local seamstresses, businesses, educators, and individuals united to sew 10,000 masks to help those in Houghton, Keweenaw, and Baraga Counties. Facebook:

These masks will be used to cover N95 masks to prolong their useful life, with a filter if an N95 is not available, or without a filter until an appropriate filter is achieved. These are not meant to replace normal medical grade masks but as a stop gap until more resources become available.
Can't Sew? Help Us Grow! If you do not sew or not local and want to contribute to supplies for others to sew we are thrilled for your support. We need help with distribution, supplies, research, community building, phone calls, and ideas to make this a reality. Funds will also be taken at Michigan Tech Employees Federal Credit Union 700 E.
