Masks for Marquette

Masks for Marquette

Our local healthcare workers need our help!  We all know there is a shortage of face masks for healthcare workers as they face caring for us and our neighbors during the impending pandemic due to the COVID-19 virus.  Masks for Marquette is a grassroots effort by local seamstresses to sew 6,000 masks for both hospital and long term care healthcare workers. These will be used to cover N95 masks to prolong their useful life and with a filter if an N95 is not available. It is not meant to replace normal medical grade masks but rather a stop gap until they can get more of those resources. If you are not a seamstress or not local and want to contribute to supplies for others to sew we appreciate your support. Thank you so much for helping us to support our healthcare workers!
